Mom and Baby

As Manisa Private Grandmedical Hospital, our corporate policy on "Mother and Baby"

  • All of our staff are trained through in-service training on successful breastfeeding and the importance of breast milk. The training provided is carried out and supervised as applied and in-service training.
  • The importance of breast milk and successful breastfeeding techniques are explained to expectant mothers who come to the hospital before birth.
  • Breastfeeding is provided by helping the mother in the first half-hour period after birth.
  • In particular, working mothers and mothers with nipple problems are informed about expressing breast milk and its storage conditions.
  • It is ensured that the emotional bond between the mother and the baby is ensured through breastfeeding and that no food or drink other than breast milk is given to the baby unless it is medically necessary.
  • In line with the education received by the mother, the continuity of breastfeeding of the baby is ensured as long as they stay in the hospital.
  • The mother is informed about her own nutrition during breastfeeding, and breastfeeding is encouraged whenever the baby requests it.
  • Mothers are told that it is wrong to give false nipples and bottles to breastfed babies.
  • The mother is convinced that after the first 6 (six) months, feeding only with breast milk, it is necessary to switch to complementary foods, and that breastfeeding should be up to 2 (two) years of age and above, even if the request is corrected.
  • Mothers and babies are informed about the health institutions they can apply to, in order to make home visits or call them within 10-15 days after birth, to evaluate whether the education given to the mother is sufficient in these interviews, and to help the baby and mother with their health problems.
  • International food code is adopted and implemented in every field of our institution.
